Pilgrimage in a Changing Europe: Cultural, Political and Economic Processes
This event (2 June 2011), supported by the European Institute, will discuss the cultural, political and economic processes affecting pilgrimage in Europe today. It comprises a workshop and an open public session. Held at the Department of Geography, University College London.
St Oswald's Way
St Oswald's Way is a long-distance walking route. The route links with some of the places associated with St Oswald, the King of Northumbria in the early 7th Century, who played a major part in bringing Christianity to his people.
Bede's Way Walk Annual Pilgrimage
This 12-mile walk starts at St Paul's Church, Jarrow, and finishes at St Peter's Church, Monkwearmouth at approximately 4.00pm.
